Micmac Indian and Machegonne Maine Native American T-Shirts
Land of the Dawn T-Shirts
Screen Printed & Embroidered
I have created and designed the artwork for my MicMac logo T-Shirts that can be ordered screen-printed or embroidered. The MicMac logo includes the rising sun, symbolizing the land of the dawn along with an authentic Micmac double-curve design and the 4 Micmic colors (Black-White-Yellow-Red) representing the 4 races of people and the 4 directions. These double-curve designs date back thousands of years and have special meaning among the Wabanaki people with each Tribe having their own designs. I also have designed a line of Wabanaki Tribal Native Roots T-Shirts that are embroidered. The Native Roots T-shirts are available with your choice of the following Tribal affiliation. Abenaki, Micmac, Penobscot, Malliseet and Passamaquoddy. For the native Mainer or people with Maine roots, I have a Maine Native Roots T-shirt.
All the T-shirts are Gildan, heavyweight 100% cotton.

Machegonne 1727 Peace Treaty
Munjoy Hill, Eastern Promenade, Portland, Maine
In 1727 a Historic Peace Treaty singing, known as Dummer's Treaty, was singed on Munjoy Hill in Falmouth. (now Portland, Maine) Lt. Gov.Dummer along with council members and representatives from Massachusetts, together with Lt. Gov. John Wentworth of New Hampshire and representatives and Paul Mascarene, delegated by the Governor of Nova Scotia along with forty + gentlemen in the delegation from the two provinces. All met with tribal delegations representing the tribes of the Arreguntonocks, Wawenock, Norridgewocks, and the Penobscots for the singing of the articles of the peace and were publicly and solemnly confirmed by the respective parties on the 4th of August, 1727. The Conferences were held in a spacious tent on Munjoy,s hill, where on the close of the negotiations, a public dinner was provided at the expense of the government, which all the parties partook. There were over two hundred Indians + present at this Pow-Wow & Peace Treaty singing and was the largest collection of people that had ever assembled in the town.
This was considered a judicious treaty, and along peace succeeded it and was the time new growth and prosperity started and flourish for the town. The Portland Neck was also know as Casco, Falmouth, Portland and Machegonne where the Wabanaki Indians have lived for over 8,000 + years.
This Historic Peace Treaty Site qualifies to be listed in the National Register of Historic Places and should be along with a Monument to honor Maine's & Portland's great Native American Heritage and 8,000 years of History.
There is not even one Native American monument in the State of Maine even though the Wabanaki People have lived in Maine for over 14,000 + years.
